Prerequisites:
--Participants must be 15
years old
--Must be able to swim 300 yards - freestyle & breaststroke
--Must be able to swim 20 yards, surface dive to a depth of 7 to 10
feet,
and retrieve a 10 pound diving brick

This Lifeguarding
program prepares trainees in
prevention, recognition and responding to all water emergencies.
Knowledge preparation and skill development for shallow and
deep-water rescues are segments of this course along with training
in CPR for the Professional Rescuer,
First Aid and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator
(AED).
The
American Red Cross released this brand new course on January 1, 2007
to comply with all of the new guidelines, especially in CPR and AED.
