Snorkeling & Skin Diving Training

Not sure if you are ready for or not yet old enough for Open Water Diving? Why not take smaller steps by beginning with our Snorkeling or Seal Team Program. Peachtree Dive offers snorkeling lessons in several different formats. All classes generally run approximately 2 to 3 hours long. Group lessons for both children and adults are scheduled monthly.

Snorkeling Lessons

Class Overview Our snorkeling classes are designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to snorkeling, offering both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Each class lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours, ensuring you get ample time to learn and practice. We offer group lessons for both children and adults, scheduled monthly to accommodate different schedules.

Adult’s Class & Confined Water Training

 As part of the snorkeling adventure, you will start with a short, informative video that introduces you to the basics of snorkeling and the marine environment. This is followed by an in-depth classroom discussion covering essential topics such as:

• Marine Environment: Learn about marine life, aquatic plants, and the ecosystems you'll encounter while snorkeling.
• Site Selection: Understand how to locate appropriate skin diving sites and identify potential hazards to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
• Equipment Care: Gain knowledge on the proper maintenance and care for your snorkeling equipment to enhance its longevity and performance.

Once the classroom session is complete, you'll move to our indoor, heated pool to practice the skills discussed. In the water, you'll learn and refine essential techniques, including:

• Water Entries: Master different methods for entering the water safely and efficiently.
• Surface Dives: Practice diving from the surface to explore underwater areas.
• Breathing Techniques: Learn how to use your snorkel effectively to breathe comfortably while swimming.

Our experienced instructors will guide you through each step, ensuring you feel confident and capable in your new skills.

Kid’s Class & Confined Water (Ages 5 – 11)

Along with the brief classroom portion and video, a “Snorkeling For Kids” interactive book is provided for each child to read, color, and keep and refer to when needed. A session in our indoor, heated pool is also provided to give the children an opportunity to learn and practice skills under the instructor’s supervision.
